Club meeting: Vegetable gardening with Anne Neilson

  • Encompass 9050 384th Avenue SE Snoqualmie, WA, 98065 United States (map)

Join us as our own Anne Neilson walks us through the essentials of soil health and testing, teaching us how to identify nutrient deficits and understand each vegetable’s unique fertilizer needs. Whether you're troubleshooting your garden beds or looking to enhance your harvest this season, this session will provide invaluable insights to help your plants flourish.

Anne is a dedicated gardener and educator, using her expertise as a King County Master Gardener to teach Growing Groceries classes and support local gardening clinics. For years, she has grown produce for the North Bend Food Bank on Saint Clare’s Episcopal Church’s property, yielding over 1,000 pounds annually despite some unplanned "harvests!" She also manages a demonstration bed at the Bellevue Demonstration Garden and helps train new Master Gardener interns. Last year, her commitment to community service was honored with the Presidential Volunteer Award from President Joe Biden.

✨ Come ready to learn, ask questions, and grow! ✨

Room opens at 6:15pm for socializing. Please remember to bring your badge.
